Satisfaction和Performance有履行债务的含义，二者有所区别。

Satisfaction，又称Satisfaction of debt。an acceptable way of dealing with a complaint, a debt, an injury, etc. （抗议、投诉等的）妥善处理；（债务的）清偿；（伤害的）赔偿。做清偿之意时，多指给予债权人以某种替换或同等事物，以期解除存在的法律或道德上的债务。

Performance，又称Full performance，做清偿之意时，强调给予债权人所允诺的相同事物。

Performance：“Satisfaction differs from performance because it is always something given as a substitute for or equivalent of something else,while performance is the identical thing promised to be done.”
