人有好人和坏人，律师中也有一些“另类”，像汉语中有强盗律师、讼棍、恶讼师之说，英文中也有相关的表述。如：

 

Ambulance Chaser直译是指“救护车追逐者”，指那些利用他人不幸事故谋求利益的律师，他们通常在事故发生后立即联系受害者，以便为他们提供法律服务并从中获利，可意译为“唯利是图的律师”。

 

英文释义如下：

An unethical attorney who solicits business at the scenes of accidents or in hospitals, in exchange for a percentage of the damages that will be recovered in the case.

Ambidexter直译为“两面讨好者”，可译为“两手捞律师”，即两手同时向双方当事人捞钱的律师。

Jackleg lawyer 是指品德恶劣的律师，也即我们常说的讼棍，蹩脚律师。

 

Jackleg is probably an alteration of an older British slang term for a swindler or dishonest person: blackleg. The metaphor underlying blackleg is lost, but the term appears first in horseracing circles as a term for a dishonest bettor or bookmaker.
