在法律英语中，有时会遇到out of question及out of the question的表达，两个短语仅相差一个定冠词the，其含义却大相径庭。

out of question 毫无疑问；没有问题；无疑；其表达no problem的意思，相当于beyond question

例: A discount of 2% is out of question.

打2%的折扣没问题。

It is obviously out of question to effect the shipment in June.

很明显，6月份交货不成问题。

out of the question   不可能；根本谈不上；其表达impossible or not to be discussed at all的意思

例：The prices shown in price-lists and catalogues shall be deemed to be the rock-bottom prices and any further reductions is out of the question.

价目单和商品目录中标明的价格应视为最低价格，不会再次减价。
