article在法律英语翻译中，通常译为“条”；其复数形式articles通常译为“条款”。

作为译者，除了掌握article（条）之外，法律中的“编，章，节，条，款，项，目”，也应熟练掌握，笔者仅提供以下版本供参考：

除了以上几个词汇外，与其搭配的数字我们也应该注意区分；通常，“chapter 章”与罗马数字搭配，“section 节； article 条”与阿拉伯数字打配；“paragraph款； subparagraph项；items目 ”分别用（1）（2）（3）...（a）（b）（c）...（i）（ii）（iii）表达。

例：第三条第三款第一项第四目 Article 3.3.1.4

Article 5.2 表示第5条第2款

我们可以通过具体实例，加深理解：

例 The U. S. Constitution has 7 articles and 27 amendments.

【参考译文】《美国宪法》有7条正文和27条宪法修正案。
