“Provided”在英文合同中常见的意思有两种：

一、作动词，表示“规定”。to state that sth will or must happen

If the seller fails to perform any of his obligations under the contract or this Convention,the buyer may:

(a) exercise the rights provided in articles 46 to 52;

(b)claim  damages  as  provided in articles 74 to 77.

第45条(1)如果卖方不履行他在合同和本公约中的任何义务，买方可以：

(a) 行使第46条至第52条所规定的权利

(b) 按照第74条至第77条的规定，要求损害赔偿。

二、作连词，表示“如果；前提是”,常用来表示一种前提条件：

If one party's failure to perform any of his obligations in respect of any installment gives the other party good grounds to conclude that a fundamental breach of contract will occur with respect to future installments,he may declare the contract avoided for the future, that he does so within a reasonable time.

如果一方当事人不履行对任何一批货物的义务，使另一方当 事人有充分理由断定对今后各批货物将会发生根本违约，该另一方当事人可 以在一段合理时间内宣告合同向后无效。 前提条件就是要求“在合理的时间 内"。

A party who is bound to take steps to preserve the goods may deposit them in a warehouse of a third person at the expense of the other party provided that the expense incurred is not unreasonable.

有义务采取措施以保全货物的一方当事人，可以把货物寄放在第三方的仓库，由另一方当事人担负费用，但该项费用必须合理。前提条件是“费用合理”。

Under certain conditions and after a concrete assessment families with children that have special needs may thus be offered accommodation in a separate residence outside of the asylum centre, provided that this is in the best interest of the family, and particularly the children.

在某些情况下，经过具体评估之后、有子女的具有特别需求的家庭 可以在庇护中心外单独的住所住宿，但这必须符合家庭、特别是儿童的最佳利益。
