reasonable在法律英语中常见的含义有三种：

(1)有理智的；明智的

(2)合理的

(3)正当的；适当的；适度的

reasonable person/man

《元照英美法词典》给出的对应中文是“理性人”，并给出如下解释：

法律所拟制的、具有正常精神状态、普通知识与经验及审慎处事能力的想象中的人。理性人，并非实有其人，法律只是把它作为抽像的、客观的标准，以确定注意的程度。该词常用于侵权行为法和刑法中。

在实践中，多翻译为“合理的人”，虽然听起来有些奇怪，但最为常见。如下：

As regards 'indirect pecuniary interest', CMI is of the view that it is an interest not immediate and personal to a Member, but does have a certain relationship with the Member which would make a reasonable person to consider that such interest might have certain influence on the action or speech of the Member.

至于‘间接金钱利益’，监察委员会认为该利益 并非某议员切身及个人所有，但又确实与该议员有某些关系，致使合理的人会认为该利益可能对那位议员的言行有某些影响。

It is also a defence if from the view-point of a reasonable person who has traded the securities concerned, a piece of information would not materially affect the price of the securities concerned.

如从买卖有关证券的合理的人的角度认为，某项消息或资料不会对有关证券的价格造成重大影响，亦可以此作为免责辩护的理由。

个人认为，译为“正常人”也挺不错的。
