Full time employment

...employment in which a person works a minimum number of hours defined as such by his/her employment... Full-time status varies between company and is often based on the shift the employee must work during each work week. The “standard” work week consists of five eight-hour days, commonly served between 9:00AM to 6:00 PM totaling 40 hours.

A part-time contract is a form of employment that carries fewer hours per week than a full-time job.

An employee, including a shiftworker, can be hired as:

Full-time

Part-time, or

Casual

A casual employee:

Has no guaranteed hours of work

Usually works irregular hours

Doesn’t get paid sick or annual leave

Can end employment without notice, unless notice is required by a registered agreement, award or employment contract.

The final requirement mandates the creation of full-time employment for not fewer than 10 qualified individuals。
